Welcome to our eco-lodge. Wetherdown Lodge was once the home of Royal Navy trainees, but it has been completely renovated and is now a model in how to use energy and cut carbon emissions. The heating and hot water is provided by a biomass boiler, which uses locally sourced wood, whilst the warmth is retained by wool fleece insulation. Our Lodge offers simple but comfortable accommodation for a wide variety of guests - from walkers and cyclists exploring the South Downs National Trail, to school groups, birthday celebrations or companies looking for a team-building experience.

The Centre is the proud owner of a Green Tourism Business Scheme Gold Award. We are ideally situated in the South Downs National Park and are right on the South Downs National Trail. For other walks in our area please check out Walk & Cycle Hampshire

At the Lodge we offer:

  • 14 bedrooms with 2-3 beds per room.
  • All linen and towels included in price
  • Help-yourself breakfast of cereal, fresh fruit, toast and drinks included in price
  • A fully fitted kitchen for self-catering
  • Shared showers and toilets on both floors.
  • Secure bike storage.
  • 55 acres of beautiful grounds and woodland to explore.
  • Packed lunches and evening meals are available from the independent small business 'The Beech Cafe', based at the Centre. Please order in advance directly with them by emailing ali@beechcafe.co.uk or view an example menu
  • Local takeaway food delivery service, for those not wanting to carry food on their walk.

Single room: £30.00 pppn
Twin/triple room: £23.00 pppn
Child (5-15 years) sharing with an adult: £18.00 pppn

5% discount for walkers/cyclists

Advance booking of accommodation is essential to avoid disappointment. Normal check-in time is after 4pm, check-out time is 10am. Other times by arrangement.
